MUSEUM

The Museum “The Magic of the Hat” is the result of a museum project promoted by the company Homero Ortega, with the aim of explaining the history of the “Panama Hat”, handmade in Ecuador. The museum has three rooms, the first dedicated to the history of the straw hat, the second to its processing, and the last to the trajectory of the company. The museum is located within the business premises; visitors can have an interactive experience and can get directly involved with the production process.

The museum is an institutional member of ICOM Ecuador and ICOM Paris. ICOM is an international organization of museums associated with UNESCO.
